 Seminar in thangka painting and drawing with thangka painter Dawa Lhadipa
Dear friends:
From September 10 to September 18, 2011 a thangka painting seminar with thangka painter Dawa will take place in the buddhist centre Buddhafabrik Braunschweig.
The internationally known painter Dawa is an officially approved lineage painter by the 17th Karmapa. He is working in the tradition of the Karma Gadri style that is characteristic for the Karma Kagyü lineage.
Both beginners and advanced students can participate in the seminar. Very committed students might be able to learn the art of painting thankgas with Dawa on a long term basis.
Since painting thangkas is part of our meditation practice, it is self-evident that the participants are firmly embedded in the dharma and, at least, do the Foundational Practices (Ngondro).
The coure will start on Saturday, September 10, at 8pm with a lecture by Dawa about his work and the Karma Gadri style.
In the following days we will draw and paint under Dawa´s guidance. You might want to bring along your drawings and paintings in progress.
Once you have registered for the seminar, you will receive a list of the material needed.

- Registration is only possible for the entire seminar.
- Costs are 200 euros, meals are included.
- The registration is binding the moment you´ve transferred the course fee (untill 30th of august).

Thangkamal- und Zeichenkurs mit dem Thangkamaler Dawa Lhadipa
Liebe Freunde,
vom 10. bis 18.September 2011 findet in der Buddhafabrik in Braunschweig ein ThangkamalKurs mit dem international bekannten Thangkamaler Dawa statt.
Dawa ist ein vom 17. Karmapa anerkannter Linienmaler und arbeitet im für die Karma Kagyü Linie typischen Karma Gadri Stil.
An dem Kurs können sowohl Anfänger als auch Fortgeschrittene teilnehmen.
Bei entsprechendem Einsatz ist es möglich, langfristig das Thangkamalen zu erlernen.
Da Thangkas ein Bestandteil unserer Meditationspraxis sind, ist es selbstverständlich, dass die TeilnehmerInnen fest im Dharma verankert sind und zumindest die Grundübungen praktizieren.
Der Kurs beginnt am Samstag, den 10.09.2011 um 20.00 mit einem Vortrag von Dawa über seine Arbeit und den Karma Gadri Stil.
In den folgenden Tagen werden wir nach Dawas Anleitung zeichnen und malen.
Begonnene Zeichnungen und Malereien könnt Ihr gerne mitbringen.
Eine Liste mit den benötigten Materialien für den Kurs wird nach der Anmeldung an die Teilnehmer geschickt.
Der Kurs ist nur als Gesamtpaket zu buchen und kostet 200,- Euro, Essen inklusive.
Die Anmeldung ist verbindlich, sobald Ihr das Kursgeld im Voraus bezahlt habt.
